Brenna Gerhardt
Executive Director
Brenna Gerhardt joined in the exercise of ideas at Humanities ND in 2005. She drives English majors crazy with her penchant for typos, but as a Religion major, she is very good at asking for forgiveness. If you visit the HND offices, chances are you will be greeted by the sound of her braying laugh ringing down the hall.

Nick Glass
Fiscal Operations Director
Nick knows his way around a construction site and a spreadsheet, making him the handiest member of the HND staff. An extreme couponer, he spends as much time at Target as at the gym but prefers the gold course to both. As Humanities ND's loyal skeptic, Nick is often the voice of reason, ensuring our programs stay true to our mission and budget. Fun fact: Nick is a cast iron skillet aficionado. (Ask him how many layers of seasoning is enough.)

Sue Muraida
Program Director
When asked to describe herself during her job interview, Sue said she was "slightly unique but not unapproachable." We hired her on the spot! Sue's juggling skills once landed her the best summer job she ever had (ask her about it). Today, she juggles HND programs, creating classes and events featuring today's brightest thinkers. As an avid lifelong learner herself, Sue is writing her next book, raising her last of seven kids, and plotting out future hiking trails.

Amber Dirk
Membership Manager
Amber Dirk began making order out of the chaos of The Study's offices in September 2023. She missed her true calling as a drill sergeant but finds enforcing efficiency and organization at the front desk a close second. Amber's ability to keep the office running smoothly enables the rest of the staff to focus on creating programs for you!

Lacie Van Orman
Marketing Director
Lacie is the founding and sole Car Wash and Coffee Meditation Society member. (Ask her for more information, but only over coffee and NOT anywhere near a car wash. It's complicated.) Lacie has an eye for style and knows how to get her point across, which is why she's in charge of getting the word out about The Study. An accomplished photographer, graphic artist, writer, and secret socialite, Lacie will make sure you're invited into the The Study story!

Jennifer Kallenbach
We the People Coordinator
Jennifer Kallenbach, the We the People coordinator, has a passion for constitutional history that’s almost as intense as her love for seafood—despite living in one of the least coastal places on Earth. She leads Humanities ND's summer teacher institute, helping educators get excited about the Constitution so they can pass that enthusiasm on to their students. If there's anyone who can make the Bill of Rights feel like a page-turner, it's Jennifer!
